We were watching tv. Movie entitled "The Last Kiss".. In the movie the daughter called up the dad and said, 'it's a girl'. the unmarried daughter called up the dad to inform him that she's pregnant, and it's a girl. Thomas asked, how would you respond if that's your daughter. I paused and replied , too bad it already happened, I'd have to be with her, no point disowning her. I think i might be able to take it. Then he continued after a while... but he's a rascal.. ... I started laughing so hard till tears rolled down my cheek.. i was speechless... no i couldn't take it. God, please do not let that happen. May you give us wisdom to help her grow with your words to be her light. Help us to protect our precious baby girl. May you Bless her with good health, bless her studies, bless her career, bless her future with someone you've chosen for her. Someone she could serve you with. Someone who would Love her all her life.
One day, she will marry her friend, the one she laughs with, lives for, dreams with, LOVE.
I finally understand why mothers cry on daughter's wedding. I'd be one of them.

Babies
I stopped work to take care of my baby. I always think that mummy should take care of own baby IF POSSIBLE.. so, that's what i'm doing. I stopped work and am a full time mummy and wife.
Stay home mum has been such a discontinued model. I've not been getting too much encouragement for doing this.. One Aunty of mine even commented, huh ?!!?! isn't it soooooo wasteful !!! (so sayang lah) why ah why ah ? and she started talking about this .. dunno who else she told, trying to convince everyone it's such a waste that i'm no longer working. I mean, I respect mothers who desire work. Not all women are destined to be home maker. each has different purpose in life. different role to play. There are mothers who wish to stay home but couldn't. You've all my respect.. But i always hear people saying, isn't it so bored to stay at home? oh gosh , my baby turns me crazy, ... blah blah blah ... and i also heard of parents who do not want to breastfeed because it's too tiring, or too tough... not because they do not have milk ! hmm... (I hope i wouldn't offend anyone here, it's just my penny worth of thought)
I always think we should look at what it gets at the end.. So, after working your whole life.. and fostered your kids out and get others to take care of your kids, what do you get? You might be mighty rich, but you might not. Do you have a very good relationship with your kids after 20 years? I haven't seen that happens.. (there are some exceptions of course, I don't mean all, I do know some parents really love their baby and baby loves their parents) Are your kids growing up well? physically perhaps, but may be not mentally and spiritually.. how about your relationship with your husband? No, not for me to judge.. but i just came to the conclusion that for me, it's not worth it, I want to take care of my baby on my own! I didn't know how, i didn't have the experience, I was not good in it. But i will try my best. and I'm still learning..
I try to take very good care of her, but these are what happened...
Yesterday morning , i woke up at 7:30am to feed Grace, then i changed her diaper at 8am.. Shockingly, I found out that we forgot to change her diaper since 7pm in the evening due to some misunderstanding ! Gosh .. poor baby.. wearing the same piece of diaper for 13 hours !!!
Once, i tried to clean her buttock using just cotton and water.. and she ended up swollen a little that got my heart ache for while..
Now, she has broken skin behind knees, which, one Pediatrician said is eczema, and got us to applied hydrocortisone , the other pediatrician said it's not eczema but caused by sweat. After applying the same medicine for 3 weeks, it didn't get better. Today we brought her to the skin specialist, and he said it's due to the yeast (Candida Albicans).. so we got to apply something else
Can you imagine? I try to take very good care of her, be very careful, yet I've caused her this and that( or contributed)... Can you imagine what will happen to her if i foster her out or let the maid to take care of her? How lucky can you be to get a kind and patient maid to take care of your house and to take care of your baby, especially when the baby cries, would she still love her and be very patient with her? I've heard of a mother saying, she almost thrown her daughter into the bin for her baby was crying whole night long! that's her own flesh and blood! and what will happen if it is not your own ? Two days ago, i saw a clip, which made me feel really sorry for the babies, and comforted with my own decision. The First 2 months was tough.. but now i'm getting used to the life of being a home maker. Thank God for having mercy with me and listen to our prayers, giving me strength, knowledge, and patience. I hope i could do better in this. May God gives me more strength and wisdom to be a good mother and wife. I'll not spoil her, I'd just love her, love the asset that God gave and let me take care of ..
Attached with the clips, I sincerely hope this will not happen to you nor your baby. May God bless all babies..

Thomas's Birthday 25 March 2009 =)
It was Thomas's birthday. Mummy put on the thinking hat and tried to think of how to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Initially mummy wanted to cook western food for Daddy... but it turned out to be tooooo tough.. as mummy had to take care of baby Grace and the house was in a mess. ho ho .
We ended up going to Sis Hui Jing's house for Lunch, with Birthday Mee Sua prepared by my Mum, she also bought him a birthday cake and gave him an ang pao. That's very nice.

When we reached home, daddy left for work, and mummy started to bake a choc-banana cake (again, it's from Aunty Yochanna's website) for Daddy.. and cooked bird nest for daddy.
We went to Lemon Grass Thai Restaurant at Tembeling, which is at the swimming pool at where we are staying and had Thai Food for Daddy's birthday. Of course we brought Grace along, as it's her first time celebrating birthday with Daddy and mummy only. I thought that would be a good place as we've never been to the Thai Rest, and it has romantic view as we can see Kuantan Town from there.. but we ended up folding our legs on the chair and later daddy even climbed up the chair as... there were too many MOSQUITOES !!! gosh .. we had the fastest dinner ever.. and quickly left that place.

MYF sisters' night 21 March 2009
it was MYF sisters' night. Both mummy and Baby attended the meeting together with daddy. The brothers were so nice to serve all the sisters with delicious western food ( pork), mash potato with gravy made by my hubby (mushroom and black pepper gravy) , 2 diff types of drinks, and delicious brownie +banana+ ice-cream. yummy! they had even arranged the setting as if we were in restaurant, there were brothers serving us as waiter, brothers preparing PNW, games, and all brothers were nicely dressed up. All of them were wearing shirt except 3 sweaty BIG CHEFs of the Night (poor thing) (Andrew, Da lit, and Thomas), i heard some brothers went to shop for things early in the morning ! There were brothers singing, playing flute, playing guitar entertaining us just like those in the 'ming ge chan ting' oh gosh .. they waited till all sisters finished eating, then only they started eating after the fellowship.. ohhh... poor thing.. my poor baby was too tired staying awake the whole night, when everyone sang birthday song for daddy (daddy's birthday on wednesday 25 March), she actually got a shock and cried..
i was pretty impressed with everything the brothers prepared. Thank you brothers. I hope sisters will be able to do even better in the coming brothers' night. You guys are placing so much pressure on sisters already !! hahahaa..
by the way, the brownie i made got me so much praises that i flew all the way up to the ceiling and above. Normal Delivery or Cesarean Section
Thomas has always wanted me to have a normal delivery. I guess he truly wants to witness the baby's arrival. However, the baby was breech, and so our Doctor informed us that probably we'll need to go for a cesarean section. He confirmed it on the 36th week, as baby still didn't turn. We're very reluctant to go for a Cesarean section, and hey ! by chance, we watched a movie entitled 'Knocked Up' and the Doctor was turning the baby, manually, on the tummy! not sticking the hand inside to turn the baby!( so many people asked me did the Doctor stick the hand in to turn the baby) and so we started to ask around and found out that we could go to General Hospital to do that for the baby's head to engage at the pelvic, ready for normal delivery. the procedure if not mistaken is called External Cephalic Version (ECV). Our very kind friend Doctor Tan helped us to arrange and set the appt coincidently on 14 Nov. He asked us to get ready and packed all things, as there's a possibility that the baby might be lack of oxygen (heart beats slow down) and then will have to have to do an emergency cesarean section immediately. If that happens, hey ! baby will be having the same birthday with mummy !
On my birthday, we went to the hospital in the morning to see Dr Sudesan, he is such an expert that within 30 secs he already done turning the baby.. we've monitored the baby's heart beats for a day and all is well (thank God!). After all, my smart baby do not want to share a birthday cake with mummy. Mummy! I want my OWN birthday cake, and i want a BIG one... oh yes baby, it's good that u 're not having the same birthday with mummy. Mummy wants her own birthday cake as well. It would not be fun if it's our birthday and you want to go out and celebrate with your friends, yet , you're stuck with mummy, as it's mummy's birthday as well.. no .. not good at all... so, thank you baby , for staying inside another 6 more days..
That explained why we were so disappointed when we ended up having to do an emergency cesarean section. We really thought i could be having a normal delivery... It's alright, Thank God the baby is safe and healthy.
Doctor told me i could try to go for normal delivery the next time... ok .. that.. i 'd have to think about it....
